These posts are based on several decades of studying tax law and financial journals. More importantly, they reflect my experience of successfully investing in the instruments of finance to include different types of domestic and foreign stocks, foreign and domestic bonds, options, and ETFs, plus different types of domestic property over that time period. The pursuit of a Ph.D. in Physics provided me a crucible in critical thinking. This in addition to my training and experience as an arbitrator for FINRA (they regulate member brokerage firms doing business in the United States under oversight of the SEC) provides me with a potentially unique perspective on finances and retirement planning.
That said, I am not a lawyer, accountant, or licensed financial advisor, so although you may find that these posts contain relevant, interesting, and hopefully useful information, they are only intended to give a wide and varied audience food for thought and ideas to check out.
I am a firm believer that everybody’s financial circumstances are unique. Not everything in these posts will fit with all of them. With that in mind, you should always consult with professionals familiar with your particular situation before acting on any ideas you might glean from the posts you read here.
